5 Remarkably Powerful Hacks to Become More Articulate

Image
If you struggle with speeches or presenting your thoughts in a clear and understandable way, these strategies will help. Tripping over your words in business meetings or everyday small talk can be a large source of insecurity for many. After all, it can be overwhelmingly frustrating to have great ideas but have zero ability to communicate them. Strong spoken articulation is often associated with being more intelligent and more capable. Here are 5 ways to become more articulate in both your personal and professional life. 1. Listen to yourself. Even if you hate the sound of your own voice, one way to become a better communicator is to record how you participate in conversations. Do you speak in many run-on sentences? Go off on a lot of tangents? Are you hard to understand? Identify your problem areas by listening to yourself so you can fix them. 2. Don't be afraid to pronounce. One bad habit that can get in the way of powerful speech is mumbling

Why New Sales Managers Need More Training

Most sales leaders would agree with what one sales vice-president once told us: “If your first-line management is broken, the entire sales force will be ineffective.” Yet many companies don’t do enough to develop their sales managers. There are two main reasons. First, some sales leaders think (often wrongly) that because sales managers were once successful salespeople, they should be able to manage salespeople effectively just based on natural instinct. Second, some sales leaders believe in training managers, but find it hard to justify a formal program due to the expense. This happens especially at companies that have a limited number of sales manager vacancies each year. This is a mistake. Companies that fail to develop sales managers forego a key opportunity. Career: Leader's Perspective(Job Vs Career)

The CNBC report says that Warren Buffet is well-known for his frugal quirks. He never spends more than $3.17 on breakfast, and he lives in the same house he bought for $31,500 in 1958 (or $260,000 in today's dollars). In 2014, he reportedly bought a Cadillac XTS, a car with a retail price of around $45,000. Why? He is always one among the top 3 richest men in the world why does he live such a humble & simple life? As Maslow explains it in his theory of psychology, such leaders are at the 'self-actualization' stage & they hardly care for other needs including the esteem. What is the meaning of career for such leaders who have reached the self-actualization need? What is their perspective towards their career when they have all Laurels in their pocket? How great leaders plan their career? What will be their career advice to you if you make them your career coach? Job is done for living & the career is developed to make it more meaningful.

These days, we’ve all got busy schedules. From work to family and social commitments, it can be hard to fit in everything. Here’s where time management can help. Consider the following tips to tick more off your to-do list, daily. Time block.  Time blocking is one of the No. 1 metrics of successful time management, and it can make larger tasks feel less overwhelming. Each night before bed, look at your next day’s to-dos and chunk off sections of time for each project, from cleaning the house to tackling paperwork. Unsure how much time? Aim for 1 – 3 hours to avoid mental exhaustion. Schedule the hard stuff first.  To slay procrastination, schedule the things you’d prefer not to do, first. Getting the difficult or least-liked items done first will help you feel more productive. Reward yourself.  Sprinkle in 15 – 30 reward breaks throughout the day, like walking with the dog, reading a chapter of a book or calling a friend. Be kind.  Regardless of how diligently you planne
